Peer review projects by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Our principal lawyer, Will Tao, has recently shared three currently unreleased peer reviews conducted as part of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s Algorithmic Impact Assessments on the following projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n


(1) Spouse in Canada Advanced Analytics Triage;
(2) Advanced Analytics for Overseas Temporary Resident Visa Applications (known as ROW);
(3) Integrity Trends Analysis Tool (“ITAT”)

Before sharing, Will also provides a rationale for the increasing requirements for peer reviews.

One of Will’s key takeaways\/recommendations is that there needs to be a built-in comment period between the draft and publication\/production of the final AIA that allows external stakeholders\/experts to comment and push back on the AIA’s self-assessment and peer reviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
