Navigating the complexities of the immigration process can present unforeseen challenges. In this success story, we highlight how our client, faced with a series of setbacks, ultimately achieved approval for their Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) application through persistence and strategic intervention in order to visit their Canadian family member.

The Journey Begins: A Lost Application and a Fresh Start

Initially, the client’s application was handled by a previous representative who unfortunately lost their application. This created confusion and frustration, particularly since the application was crucial for their plans to reunite for a visit in Canada. However, instead of giving up, the client decided to seek professional assistance from our firm to re-apply and expedite the processing of their TRV application.

Our team immediately took over the case, meticulously reviewing the details and ensuring that all necessary steps were taken to move the application forward towards quick approval.

A month later, the TRV Application was approved, and our client received a Passport Request letter from IRCC.

Despite our best efforts, unforeseen challenges soon arose.

Setbacks: The Stolen Passport and Noncompliance with the Passport Request Letter

At the critical Passport Request stage, the client’s passport was stolen, presenting a significant hurdle. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, we promptly updated IRCC regarding the theft and the subsequent delay in obtaining a new passport. The Applicant mailed the new passport to the VAC and unfortunately did not follow all of the instructions from the IRCC Passport Request Letter.  Eventually, the new passport did not reach the Visa Application Centre (VAC).

The approved TRV application was subsequently rejected due to the failure to provide the original passport. This setback, while disappointing and surprising, did not deter us from continuing to advocate for our client to achieve their intended outcome.

Reconsideration: A Renewed Effort

Rather than accepting the rejection, we advised our client to make a reconsideration request. In our submission, we highlighted how our client made efforts to submit the passport as requested.

The Outcome: Success and Approval

Our efforts were rewarded. After a thorough review, IRCC reconsidered their decision, made a new request for the passport and ultimately approved the TRV. These significant and unexpected hurdles—a previous representative losing the application, followed by a stolen passport—were successfully overcome, thanks to careful management and unwavering dedication to the case.

Conclusion: Persistence in the Face of Adversity

This case serves as a reminder that setbacks in the immigration process are often temporary obstacles. With the right support and strategic action, such challenges can be effectively managed. For our client, this approval not only secured their immediate future but also reaffirmed the importance of perseverance and professional guidance in navigating the immigration journey.
