We are pleased to welcome Nila and Rijana as our new students and summer interns!

Their bios in their own words:

Nila

Hi all, I’m Nila! I recently graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of General Studies in Education and minors in Counselling & Human Development, Social Justice in Education, and French. I’m passionate about reducing barriers of access to immigration for marginalized communities and I’m eager to learn more about the impact of AI on the legal processes in this field. During my down time, I enjoy baking and playing video games to unwind. I look forward to collaborating on this project.

See you soon!

Rijana

Hi, my name is Rijana! I live in the Greater Toronto Area, but I am a student at the University of Ottawa, studying in the combined Political Science and French Common Law program. I’m excited and proud to say I’ll be entering my 2L year this upcoming fall. In my free time, I love to be in nature, exercise, and travel. I’m fascinated by the impact that AI development is having on the legal field, so I’m looking forward to this summer!

Nila and Rijana will be helping us launch our AI advocacy initiative and as well perform research in areas that move forward our practice, specifically in strategic litigation.

Please give them a warm welcome!
