We are thrilled to share that Laura Schemitsch, an exceptional member of our team at Heron Law Offices, has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Canadian Bar Association’s Founders’ Award from the Immigration Law Section.

This prestigious award was established during the 30th anniversary of the Section to honour its original founders and to recognize outstanding future leaders in Canadian immigration law. Each year, the award is given to a law student or junior lawyer who demonstrates not only legal excellence but also a deep commitment to the profession, leadership potential, and meaningful contributions to the immigration law community.
